A competition regulator in the U.K. blocked
Microsoft’s
(MSFT) acquisition of
Activision Blizzard
(ATVI).
In a press release Wednesday, the Competition and Markets Authority said it prevented the purchase “over concerns the deal would alter the future of the fast-growing cloud gaming market, leading to reduced innovation and less choice for U.K. gamers over the years to come.”
